Just because something might be from another world, that doesn't necessarily mean its a monster. However, in the ALIEN movie series, some large ET humanoids (The Engineers) created a substance that corrupts & mutates life forms into monsters. HR Giger imagined what an army of LARGE, biomechanical insectoids would be like. Even a bot named David wanted to do some genetic engineering of his own.
