https://skepticalinquirer.org/2017/07/an-investigation-of-the-missing411-conspiracy If this world is like a laboratory or a farm for something to occasionally take various life forms, then it would be better for many people to be skeptical & doubtful of such a horrific scenario. If its the Devils playground for demons & monsters to interfere with people & animals, that's also a very uncomfortable scenario.

https://www.canammissing.com/missing-411--the-devils-.html Whether it's the DEVIL, the Jinn or any monster of the week, or a series of ET researchers or hunting parties, something very dark & mysterious is going on.

In parks or in urban settings, people go missing all the time.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taken_(miniseries)

Sometimes body-parts are discovered.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salish_Sea_human_foot_discoveries

"These foot discoveries are not the first ones on British Columbia's coast. One was found in Vancouver in 1887, leading to the place of discovery being called Leg-In-Boot Square.^[4] On July 30, 1914, The Vancouver Sun reported that recent arrivals from Kimsquit reported a human leg encased in a high boot was found on a beach near the mouth of the Salmon River (a previous name for the Dean River near Kimsquit, near the headwaters of Dean Channel). It was thought the remains were from a man who had drowned on the river the previous summer." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salish_Sea_human_foot_discoveries#Discoveries

Any official report indicating that "something" might occasionally be taking people, would be too disturbing for the general public to ponder.

Because then it actually looks more like something from Kolchak:_The_Night_Stalker or The_X-Files.
