Did people simply invent various Gods, Angels and Demons, or are they based on actual beings and entities from other worlds or realms? What about the MIB? Given their otherworldly or extra-dimensional presence, they remain a mystery and are easily dismissed by most people.

If time and space are part of a cosmic recording, there are astounding implications about, The Nature of Reality. (TNOR)

Long before the digital computer age there was the idea of an Akashic database or cosmic hall of records.

Many people have their own take on the concept of the Akashic Records.

A cosmic recording and projection of time and space...
Space-time is in part, what holds the fabric of the universe together. The cosmic tapestry is so interconnected with this interactive reality.
Is it just a digital dream? If so, then what do people Wake_Up to?
Neo was starting to wake up in the MATRIX, especially after he saw a White_Rabbit tattoo. Then he had to go to a VR nightclub. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjoad6gcRzs
There are many that will say,
"Time travel is one of mankind's favorite fantasies. But what if it were possible to build a real-time machine? To travel into the future or the past? Scientists are now teetering on making that impossible dream, reality. Originally broadcast in 2003. Content licensed by DRG Distributions." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc9_ZFxMvMw
"What if time travel is possible, why haven't we met a single time traveler yet? And if we did meet one, how would we know they weren't faking it? What would their time machine look like? And how would it operate? Would there be a set of rules for time travelers to follow? And what would happen if they decided to break them?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipMwrcvukpU
If someone can go into the future, wouldn't that imply that the future is prerecorded?
"Whether time travel is possible is among the most intriguing questions in all of science. Neil deGrasse Tyson explains how time travel into the future is possible through Einstein's general relativity theory. Time travel is a widely recognized concept in philosophy and science fiction. But is it truly possible in real life? What does physics tell us about time travel? Is it possible to travel to the past? There are some physical theories that can help us learn what time travel is and how it works. Neil deGrasse Tyson explains the nature of time and the conundrums of time travel." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPSgO9CkSjQ
Of course various kinds of technology will be used to try to figure more things out.
"It seems Extended Reality or XR is going to be the high tech that will make us feel like we are living in the future. XR encompasses a conglomeration of VR - virtual reality, AR - Augmented Reality and MR - mixed reality." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0QLVj9FJ0A (ScienceTime/videos)

It isn't an IT monster, but it interacts in this cosmic reality.
