All sorts of data and reports can be collected from the various accounts of reincarnation. Then various simulations could be created on the theory of consciousness somehow experiencing many lifetimes. The implication would be that this world is part of something like an interactive cosmic recording and projection of time & space.
Then at a higher level, perhaps even beyond the perceived limits of the cosmos, someone or something might be running various simulations.
