A monster with red eyes certainly looks menacing & sinister enough. However, there have been some unsettling encounters with beings that have eyes of darkness.

The Secret History of the Supernatural

http://www.unknowncountry.com/dreamland/secret-history-supernatural
Richard Smoley provides some interesting observations.
http://www.realitysandwich.com/does_prophecy_work

Everyone has their own take of the so called, Supernatural. Is there a dark side of the Force, so to speak?
http://scifi.about.com/od/starwarsglossaryandfaq/a/SWAR_glossary_the-force.htm

Whether perceived metaphorically or actually, if there is a dark side of energy & intent then perhaps there is a field of negative & deceptive consciousness. The-Ouija-portal is something less physical & more metaphysical. Over the years there have been several accounts of encounters with dangerous-entities.

Its not all dark, but one has to be aware & cautious.
http://paranormal-intersection.blogspot.ca/2013/06/magic-and-mystery-etc.html

The KEEP is a dark & fascinating monster movie. The movie depicts how a monstrous force of energy gradually becomes an evil physical form. A benevolent humanoid being is eventually summoned to literally put the monster back into its place of confinement.

The-Beard
From the late 1960s to the late 1970s, there were plenty of men that wanted to look like Caveman. However, most of them were of a peaceful vibe & just wanted to enjoy being young wild & free. Decades later, some of the hipster_men seem to want to project the look of a homeless person. Yet, many have high limit credit cards, nice clothing, cars & their smart phones, but seem to want to look like street_people. Most of the actual street people aren't trying to look like cavemen or barbarians, its just difficult to keep a clean shaven neat & tidy appearance when on a very low income.

Humans are on a world where so many animals & insects attack each other for food & territory, etc. Whether by nature or from a creator, humans have the ability to not want to rip each other apart like several animals do. Animals & monsters are evolved or designed as they are, but most humans have a choice to strive above the monstrous predator level. Of course rich or poor, growing a beard doesn't necessarily cause a man to become more ferocious & violent.

Chewbacca is quite an interesting bearded character. Although occasionally ferocious, he seems to be more civilized than some bearded men. http://avp.wikia.com/wiki/Fifield

However, some other movies clearly depict mythical bearded violence.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hobbit_(film_series)#Filming,
Zero_Dark_Thirty & more ferocious bearded violence. One group of violent beads against another group beards.

At a certain point, a bearded global war would just leave cavemen & beaded homeless to pick up the pieces. http://www.themandus.org They could even become food for other monstrous things. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/03/0307_060307_human_prey.html

Perhaps another variation of this myth is in a movie called, The-Keep.

The_Keep is a movie about a sinister force that escapes from its underground tomb.

Its energy is transformed into a monstrous shapes. Eventually, the monster is put back into confinement.

They seem to always be pushed back further & further. Perhaps the powers that be would rather have WW3. Then again, a natural disaster might occur like a CME. In any case, a privileged small amount of people can eventually emerge from their bunkers of paradise & rewrite history again for a new world of flawed humans to conquer.
